Leptospirosis cases are rising in 2023, according to the Philippines Department of Health. The Quezon City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU) reported an alarming increase in leptospirosis cases in the city, which has already rose to a total of 114 cases as of August 14.
Brgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City was reported as the hotspot of Leptospirosis cases with the highest tally of 9 cases.
